  May 2011 Newsletter
Greetings Multisporters,

Just sending a quick reminder that early-bird registration fees are only available until next Tuesday May 31, 2011.  Sign-up soon and take advantage of up to 20% in savings off regular fees.  As mentioned in our past newsletter, this year's event will take place in the Torrance Barrens of southern Muskoka.  If you've never visited this area before it's incredibly unique with moon-like landscapes interspersed with classic Canadian Shield forest and lake topography.  Definitely not a venue to be missed!
New Course Maps and Descriptions Now Available!

Many of you have been asking to see the new 2011 course maps.  I've been reluctant to share specific details until all of the land permissions are finalized, but I just can't wait any longer.  Click here to see new maps for both the 'Pine Crest' and 'Championship' courses. Routes are subject to change based on final approvals, but I don't expect many adjustments.  For those looking to pre-ride/run the courses, please keep in mind some of the route is contained on Camp Pine Crests private property and access to those trails are restricted to race day. The mountain biking legs can be pre-ridden anytime, and I highly recommend a visit to this unique area.  Click here for more details on some of the trails being used.

Emergency Services Adventure Race (ESAR) - June 18, 2011 - Horseshoe Valley, Ontario

Open to both emergency services personnel and members of the general public, this 5-8 hour event is always hotly contested and typically sells-out, so sign-up soon.  The new host-site at Horseshoe Valley will offer many unique course-design options.

Angry Seagull Adventure Race - July 9, 10, 2011 - Parry Sound, Ontario

The 5th edition of the 24-Hour Angry Seagull will take place in northern Muskoka and would be a great event for anyone considering the Wilderness Traverse.  The event is offering a unique new format where team-mates can rotate in and out at designated transition areas along  the way.  This could be a great option for team-mates who aren't quite sure they're ready to tackle a full 24 hour event.

Sincerely,

Bob Miller
