Happy Holidays Multisporters,

After much exploring this past fall, I'm thrilled to announce YMCA Camp Pinecrest in southern Muskoka will be the host site of the 2011 Logs Rocks and Steel. The new courses will cross some of the most scenic and challenging terrain Ontario has to offer. Located in the Torrance Barrens area the trails cross many areas of exposed bedrock, offering fun, fast riding, or running, coupled with many breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness. I was testing parts of the new course this past fall with 2010 LR&S champion Barb Campbell, to see some pictures of the new courses feel free to visit her training blog at the following link.  The venue is also perfect as it sprawls over hundreds of wooded acres, has waterfront access on two remote lakes, boasts excellent food and offers onsite accommodations. I can't wait to introduce everyone to the all-new 2011 Logs Rocks and Steel.  Mark your calendars, the date for next summer's event will be September 10, 2011.

If you're still looking for that last-minute holiday gift idea, or want to see some excellent products reviewed by many of North America's top multisporters and event directors, check out Breathe Magazine's online Holiday Gift Guide.  My favourite item from the guide is a toss up between the Atlas Run Snowshoes, the Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX trail runners, or of course the GUATS hoodie (most comfortable shirt there is!).
